What peels actually treat
A peel is a precision tool — not a single recipe. Not sure which concern is yours? Let our AI map it in 5 seconds.
Analyze your face with AICellular turnover slows after 25 — dead cells stack up and light stops reflecting. A Glow Peel resets the surface in 30 minutes. Pairs well 10–14 days before an event.
Analyze with AIBumpy surface, congestion, visibly open pores. The Clarity Peel works at the upper dermis — resurfaces texture and tightens pore openings across a 4-peel series.
Analyze with AISalicylic-based Clarity peels go into the pore itself — anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and oil-regulating. Often the missing piece when topicals plateau.
Analyze with AIMandelic and lactic acid for darker skin tones, Renewal-grade TCA for deeper marks. Sequenced over 4–6 peels, calibrated low for Fitzpatrick IV–VI.
Analyze with AIThe first lines around eyes, mouth, and forehead. Medium-depth TCA triggers collagen renewal at the dermal layer — softening visible lines across a Renewal series.
Analyze with AISolar lentigines, photoaging, leathery texture. Renewal or Signature Peel works at the depth where sun damage actually sits — typically 3–4 sessions to clear.

“A salon peel years ago left me with a burn I never quite forgot. The team here started me on a light Clarity grade — no downtime, just glow. By peel four my skin looked better than it has in fifteen years. No drama, all evidence.”
Priya — Glasgow

“Glow Peel two weeks before my wedding — the photographer commented on my skin twice during the shoot. Worth the drive from Edinburgh and the careful pacing in the lead-up.”
Sarah — Edinburgh

“Post-acne marks I'd carried since my twenties. Three Renewal peels and they faded to the point I stopped reaching for concealer. The downtime was real but planned for — nothing was a surprise.”
Daniel — Glasgow

“Mid-forties skin that had stopped responding to my usual routine. A Renewal course over twelve weeks reset the texture across my whole face — fine lines softer, tone more even. The pricing ladder was the most honest I've seen in this industry.”
Lorna — Paisley

“Mature skin that had stopped tolerating most peels years ago — every place I'd tried before either pushed too aggressive or refused entirely. Here the Clarity ladder was actually paced for my skin. Brighter and clearer by peel three, no marks.”
Maureen — Glasgow

“Post-summer my skin always looks dull and uneven. A single Glow Peel reset everything in a week — no flaking, just luminous. Already booked the autumn one.”
Niamh — Glasgow

Frequently asked
It depends on the concern, your skin type, and how much downtime you can absorb. Dullness or pre-event glow → Glow Peel (no downtime). Texture, pores, oily/acne-prone skin, or mild post-acne marks → Clarity Peel (1–2 days light flake, safe on Fitzpatrick IV–VI). Fine lines, deeper scarring, sun damage → Renewal Peel (4–7 days visible peel). Stubborn melasma or deeper scarring → Signature Peel (custom multi-acid). At the free consultation we grade you — we don't sell you the same peel regardless of what you walked in with.
Concentration, pH, and depth. Salon peels are deliberately weak — the law requires it because they aren't applied by a doctor who can neutralise on contact. Medical-grade peels use clinical-strength acids at controlled pH, applied with a timer and neutralised the second the target depth is reached. That's why one medical peel often achieves more than a series of salon facials.
Most clinics push whichever piece of equipment they own. We use both, so we can be honest. Peels excel at surface and upper-dermis concerns — tone, texture, pores, mild scarring, dullness, active acne. Laser excels at deeper dermal targets — vascular concerns, deep melasma, established sun spots, ablative resurfacing. Many patients end up doing both in sequence. The free consultation maps this out for your specific case.
Yes — but only with the right acid. Mandelic acid (larger molecule, less penetration) and lactic acid are our defaults for Fitzpatrick IV–VI because they have a much lower post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation risk than glycolic or high-strength salicylic. We graduate to controlled medium-depth TCA only when appropriate, never on a first-time darker-skin patient. Many of our patients are V–VI and complete the Clarity series safely.
Most patients see meaningful change after the second peel and reach their goal in 4–6 peels at 3-week intervals. Pre-event single-peel "glow" sessions are available if you just want to look your best for a specific date. The grading and protocol are calibrated at the free consultation.
Glow Peel: zero meaningful downtime — most patients return to work the same day. Clarity Peel: mild redness on day 1, microscopic flaking days 2–4 (makeup-coverable from day 2). Renewal Peel: 1 day of pink, 3–5 days of visible flaking. Signature Peel: 5–7 days visible peel, usually scheduled around time off. We tell you exactly what to expect for your specific peel before you commit.
Yes — and many patients do. For a single "glow" peel before a date, we time it 10–14 days out so the flaking is complete and the fresh layer is at its most luminous. For more dramatic transformation we start a series 3–4 months ahead. Don't try a new peel grade for the first time within 2 weeks of a major event.
No — and they're often more dangerous than medical peels for a single reason: at-home formulations are deliberately weak (low concentration, high pH) to be safe without supervision, which means they barely penetrate. Patients who plateau on them often escalate to stronger online formulations not designed for face skin and end up with chemical burns. Medical-grade peels are stronger but applied by a doctor who can neutralise on contact.
Pause topical retinoids 5–7 days before your peel and resume 5–7 days after, once any flaking has fully resolved. Patients on prescription retinoids generally get better peel results once we time the sequence correctly — we'll plan this in your consultation.
Yes, strategically. We commonly pair a Glow or Clarity Peel with microneedling, VirtueRF, or pigmentation laser on the same plan — but never within the same week. The skin needs recovery time between procedures. Your consultation maps out a combined plan if you're treating multiple concerns.
We do not perform any chemical peels during pregnancy. Most acids absorbed through the skin haven't been studied enough to confirm fetal safety. While breastfeeding, lactic acid peels at low concentration are generally accepted but we tend to defer. Accutane (isotretinoin) within 6 months: no peels. Topical retinoids: pause 5–7 days before. We screen for all of this at consultation.
Single peels: Glow £149 · Clarity £199 · Renewal £279 · Signature £349. Courses of 4 (3-week intervals): Glow £499 · Clarity £699 · Renewal £999 · Signature £1,249 — saving £97–£147 vs single pricing. Free consultation always included. Klarna and split-payment available. We provide a full written breakdown at consultation — no hidden fees.
